I know that Microsoft doesn’t support Exchange 2016 on Windows Server Core or Nano Server. But I decided to find out is it possible or not.
During install Exchange 2016 CU3 on Windows Server 2012 R2 Core (Standard Edition without "Server-Gui-Shell" and "Server-Gui-Mgmt-Infra" features) with checked "Automatically install Windows Server roles and features that are required to install Exchange Server" wizard installs GUI by self.

Windows 10 Pro VT-x and Hyper-V features
The interesting thing that I recently faced.
Windows 10 Pro has a built-in Hyper-V, and I used it sometimes. At one moment I needed to install the Android emulator NOX. The operating system boots and runs very slowly.
After that, I checked whether the Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) feature is enabled - SecurAble show that Hardware Virtualization is not supported. I checked the BIOS - VT-x is enabled. Hyper-V works.
It turned out that Hyper-V reserves the VT-x function only for themselves. Keep in mind.
Good advice how to use Hyper-V and other hypervisors on the same computer - https://mlichtenberg.wordpress.com/2013/11/22/running-hyper-v-and-virtualbox-on-the-same-computer/

Exchange 2016 at home
Is it possible to install, configure, and use Microsoft Exchange Server at home with gray IP? Yes, of course. What for? Just for fun.

Exchange 2013 - 2016. Email in Draft: You don't have permission to perform this action
Today I faced with interesting behavior of Exchange 2016. After the initial configuration I tried to send the email and got the error "You don't have permission to perform this action".

My low-cost home IT lab
My lab is small and cheap, but it's enough for testing a few technologies.
As a hypervisor I decided to use Intel NUC 5th generation with Intel Core i5-5300U, 8 Gb RAM and SSD. The NUC5i5MYHE is a corporate model without WiFi, Bluetooth and IR, but with vPro (remote control like HP iLO) and good frequency.
As a storage I use NAS D-Link DNS-325 with two 2 Tb SATA disks. On NFS share I place VMs without high IO requirements (like AD).
Total cost is about 650$.

Microsoft Exchange 2016 and OwaVersion:Exchange2013
During the study of Exchange 2016 RTM I noticed one thing - "OwaVersion" of OWA Virtual Directory is "Exchange2013". CU1 - CU14 still no changed it.
