Some time ago I helped with resolving an issue with authorization in Office 365 on Windows 8.
Symptoms
- Error "Sorry, we are having some temporary server issues" while trying to authorize in any Office 365 apps (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Error #455 in the Application Event Viewer "taskhostex(10032) WebCacheLocal: Error - 1032 (0xfffffbf8) while opening log file "C:\...\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache\V01.log".
- Internet Explorer does not load any website.
- Services window is blank.
Solution
I followed several steps, one of which (or a few) was successful:
- Run "SFC /SCANNOW" in CMD with administrative privileges.
- Unlock "...\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache\V01.log" by Unlocker and delete the file.
- Reset Internet Explorer settings.
- Install update for Internet Explorer (in my case Windows Update just at this time offered updates for IE).
After this and reboot PC, IE started works well and Office 365 allowed to log in.
Hope it helps someone someday.
